Since 1st July, 2007, there has been a new co-operation between the DUV and selected athletic clubs.
In order to ensure a better service for our members and a contact person concerning ultra marathon running in their vicinity, the DUV has established so-called “advance bases ” together with the clubs named in the menu bar on the left.
These clubs are the regional contact institutions for DUV members. In the ultra marathon scene, these clubs are famous for their strong running teams and / or for their competence in the field of ultra marathon running.
For the DUV members, this means they can henceforth receive personal advice and counselling with questions concerning their training.
Furthermore, the DUV members have permission to make use of the facilities of these sports clubs, depending on a prior agreement with the contact person in charge.
It is very probable that arrangements can be made there to carpool for forthcoming ultra marathon races.
Non-DUV members can also benefit from this co-operation in as much as they can find competent contact persons when it comes to DUV membership.
The DUV promotion posts will receive a small bonus for every new member.
And, if DUV members that are not members of an athletic club take a liking to the promotion club and would like to join it, why not? The athletic clubs also need new members in order to work efficiently – what’s more, this club membership offers a whole panoply of possibilities to the athletes, last but not least the participation in official DLV (German Athletic Federation) championships.
