Wolfgang Schwerk ran 2 new age category world records "en route" (1000 kms in 6 days, 22 hours and 6 minutes, 870 road kms in 6 days). Martina Hausmann is the current owner of the German record, age category W50. This year's Ultramarathon Festival in Athens runs since this week (to be precise: since Monday 14:00 local time). In addition to the usual fireworks of options (7 days/72/48/24 hours) there is a 1000 mile race.
