Last weekend (i.e. last weekend of March), several world best performances were recorded. Our statistician Andreas Knop has compiled them for the DUV.
In the 6-hours race in Veszprem (HUN) on March 27, Hungarian Szilvia Lubics achieved 74.653 kms, a 2010 world best performance. The men’s race was won by Robert Szaloki (Hungary) with 84.769 kms.
A further 2010 world best performance was recorded by Ryoichi Sekiya from Japan in the 24-hours race of the Athens Ultramarathon Festival. After 12 hours, he had already collected 133 kms. At finish, he cleared the 250km threshold with 250.357 kms. The results of the 24-hours, 48-hours, 72-hours, as well as the results of the 7-days and 1000 miles races have already been loaded into the statistics data base.
During the 100km Asian Championship race, Mami Kudo from Japan ran 7:56:06 in the Open Race and beat the previous 2010 world best of Italian Monica Casiraghi (7:56:42). Oddly, Mami Kudo was faster than the official Asian champion, whereas she did not make the Japanese team for exactly this 100km Asian Championship race. Results of the championship race are available partially, not yet for the open race.
